Some Major characteristics of a good teacher
Most of the educational process takes place in a class guided by a teacher. Anyone can be a teacher, either inside or outside the classroom, but a good teacher displays particular characteristics importantly needed to support the ways how they educate their students. Major characteristics mostly required to be a good teacher are kind, hard-working, smart, creative and innovative.
The basic first characteristic to be a good teacher is being kind. This is related to the teacher’s attitude towards students. It does not mean that students are able to walk all over teachers, but it means that teachers should not walk all over them either. Teachers can be a good leader or a good friend. In order to be a good teacher they must be admirable for their kindness and show high moral ground. This is important because they set an example to their students based on it. Their act became a model of whom student want to be someday as well.
Other characteristics needed to be a good teacher are hard worker and smart. Teachers should be dedicated their work by being professional and dedication. They should have a passion for knowledge and prepare their lessons in advance so they are able to explain the materials clearly. They also teach student by focusing on key concepts and accompany them to improvise their knowledge patiently.
Last but not least, a good teacher should be creative and innovative. This is the abilities to make materials taught by teacher are interesting and attracting. with this characteristics, a good teacher is able to turn monotonous situation into something new. They are also able to anticipate any unnecessary frustrating situations which may happen to students while teachers are giving the materials.
To sum up, in my opinion, not everybody is able to be a good teacher. They have to have particular characteristics showed in the ways they teach students.
